Blowhorn, an intra-city logistics provider, has raised undisclosed venture debt funding from Trifecta Capital. The startup was founded by Mithun Srivatsa & Nikhil Shivaprasad in 2014 and has currently about 40,000 drivers on board. Earlier, in March 2017,it had secured series A round funding of Rs 25 crore from IDG Ventures India and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
The startup will utilize these funds on innovation, to achieve profitability in its operations by the end of FY20.
In a media statement, Mithun Srivatsa, CEO of Blowhorn, said,
“We are thrilled to have Trifecta Capital invest in Blowhorn. Trifecta Capital is an extremely selective capital allocator.”
On the funding into Blowhorn, Rahul Khanna, Managing Partner – Trifecta Capital, said,
“Blowhorn is building a fast-growing business in a space that is seeing even greater interest in times of COVID19. Given its focus on intra-city logistics and depth of fulfilment capabilities, the company is able to support a wide spectrum of customers in these challenging times.”
Blowhorn currently operates in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR and Mumbai. The company connects customers with mini-truck drivers for intra-city, sub two-ton deliveries via its website and mobile app. Additionally, it provides fulfilment services and full API integrated delivery services.
